About

My name is Oleg Grigoriev. I take photos of people’s lives and experiences. I try to see simplicity and uniqueness in everyone, I try to look inside and find some truly significant things – people’s meanings and inspirations.

I take on complex social photo projects – I tell stories about life in isolated Roma camps, about people living in the places of captivity, where they are subjected to inhuman treatment and torture: psychiatric hospitals, psychoneurological boarding schools, including those for children, geriatrics and hospices, prisons and pretrial detention centers.

Big and small people have stories and memories. They are full of worldviews, secrets and pain that they’ve witnessed.

People always remain the most interesting to me. I strive to create social photos and reportages which require attention to people’s lives. When a viewer starts to perceive them as a part of their own story that they’ve lived through. If you have been waiting to create a photo story that people will care about and that they will experience as their own – I know how to do that.
